Shopping Trips: Walgreens and the Commissary 7/15/2011

So today was my first trip using coupons. I went to Walgreens and the Commissary (the military grocery store). My total before coupons was $66.20, but I paid $39.09. I had $29.60 worth of coupons (yeay!!) for a savings of 41%!! I say that's pretty good for my first time ever couponing!!

So my Walgreens trip was $39.43 before coupons and $22.92 after coupons. I also got a $3 dollar off register reward!! My savings for just this trip was 42%.

My Commissary trip was $26.77 before coupons and $16.17 after coupons. My savings for his trip was 39%.

Hello

I've decided that I want to venture into the world of couponing and I thought that I would blog about my experiences. We are a one income family (my husband is lower enlisted in the Navy) and I have a 12 month old son, so our budget is extremely tight these days. So I decided, why not coupon and try to save some money!! So I hope you enjoy checking out all the deals as much as I enjoy scoring them!!
